Sang, Serkyam, Naggon and Namkha Workshop
Led by: Mike Beddard & Sally Field
Date: 28th Apr to 6th May 2012
Location: Kunselling
This retreat will focus on some of the practices given by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu concerned with protecting our energy and improving our well being. The practices draw heavily on Tibet's pre-Buddhist Bön religious rites that later became incorporated into the Tibetan Buddhist canon due to their power and efficacy.
The retreat will be led by Sally Field and Mike Beddard.
Sang and Serkyem, are practices that purify us as individuals and protect our local environment through contact with the Local Guardians and the Eight Classes (of non-human, energetic beings).
Namkha, is a practice of weaving our energies into harmony using 5 element coloured cotton thread onto a cruciform wooden frame.
Naggon, is an important invocation to the three main Guardians and Protectors of the Dzogchen teachings. The Guardians prevent negative provocations from the Eight Classes , and through their grace we are able to establish a peaceful and fruitful basis for our practice and our lives.
Please Note: To attend the retreat you normally need to have the transmissions for these practices from Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. He usually gives the transmissions for all of the practices at the end of each retreat.
